Greetings folks. We have created a Twitter account to get word of local and statewide rarities out as fast as possible. We will also “tweet” weather reports and conditions. Each “tweet” report is limited to 140 letters, so these will be short updates. For example, if you follow us on twitter, you may receive a tweet that says:

“Lots of warblers, vireos, flycatchers at Wendy Park NOW”

“Lakewatch conditions PERFECT, WNW winds at 20”

“Franklin’s Gull at Edgewater SP.”

Etc. Etc.

To follow us on twitter, check out our homepage:

If you are already a Twitter user you can follow us by signing up to receive our tweets. Either visit our address or find us at: @LocalPatchBirds

We hope that this increases our communication tenfold. You could receive an instant tweet (just like receiving an email) via your wireless device and be at the site of a rarity within mere minutes!
