C-town woodcock

Hit the streets of Cleveland today in search of early spring migrants. Erie Street Cemetery (across from Progressive Field) produced stunning Fox Sparrows, towhee, and a Chipping Sparrow, flickers, and two point-blank American Woodcocks. Photo below digiscoped with the Leica D-Lux 5 camera through Leica 82 mm scope. A stellar first-day-of-spring with 80+ temps and summer skies.

  1. I went to Erie Street the other day, and other than some juncos, a couple field sparrows, and a ton of robins there wasn’t much. Dang! I wanted a woodcock! (or two!)
