Lakeshore count

John Pogacnik had an excellent count today from Lakeshore Reservation, no doubt due in part, to WNW winds. His report:

There was a great movement of birds today with lots of gulls and good
numbers of ducks. Best bird was an immature or female Harlequin duck. It
flew by very close to shore heading west. Other waterfowl of note were 2
surf scoters. Gulls of note were little gull and glaucous gull.
