This weeks forecast continues to bring “Spring”-like SSW winds (up to 30mph!) with a possible break on Wednesday with predicted WNW winds at 14mph and a temp drop. If the forecast holds, watch Wednesday for a lake watch day. Otherwise, highlights scattered across northern Ohio include building flocks of Bonaparte’s Gulls in harbors and offshore, scoters off of Sim’s Park in Euclid, a Franklin’s Gull at Avon Lake Powerplant today, and a difficult but auto-tour-chaseable White Ibis at ONWR today (plus four Glossy Ibis). Northern Shrikes are turning up at numerous locations. On Saturday, a Pomarine Jaeger visited (bombarded) Eastlake Powerplant in the afternoon hours. C’mon November… bring some good winds!
