The following rare birds are showing up in the Great Lakes region in fair numbers (still rare, but they are pushing through):
Franklin’s Gull: a flock of 63 at New Buffalo on SW shore of Michigan, some in Ontario and elsewhere.
Greater White-fronted Goose: scattered flocks from NW Ohio to MI, Ontario, northeastern NY
Purple Sandpiper: showing up on break walls in Michigan, Indiana, Ontario
Rufous Hummingbird: keep those feeders up! More individuals turning up in PA, New York, etc.
Cave Swallow: chances extremely high now for this rarity based on sight reports around Great Lakes and current strong WSW winds. Be on the look out at lakefront locations for ANY swallow.
