Ad Sabine’s Gull

Adult Sabine’s Gull (basic plumage) at Eastlake Power Plant, photographed (digiscoped) by Jerry Talkington. November 6, 2011. Located at 9:15 a.m. by JB and observed by multiple observers through 12 p.m. Photos show small, “cute” bird with black “cowl” (nape), dark bill with yellow tip, darkish gray upperparts (mantle).

  1. Hey Amar, unfortunately, no, we were not able to get wing shots of the bird. Viewed multiple times in flight but within the chaos of Bonies. This was the first adult Sabines in Ohio for the veteran birders present that day. Pretty incredible bird.
