Saturday, Oct 22: The Cleveland lakefront is absolutely hopping with a huge wave of migrant passerines this morning. Wendy Park and Edgewater are loaded with Yellow-rumped and Palm Warblers, both kinglets, Brown Creepers, Hermit and Swainson’s Thrushes, and incredible numbers of sparrows with Song, White-throated and White-crowned in the dozens upon dozens. Additional highlights included a single Blackpoll Warbler, American Redstart, several Nashville Warblers and Common Yellowthroats, two Philadelphia Vireos (late), several Lincoln’s Sparrows and many Field and Chipping and Swamp Sparrows, nearly 20 Winter Wrens, many House Wrens, sapsuckers, and more. Local shoreway parks and urban burbs have warblers and kinglets by the dozens. Erie street cemetery, elmwood park in rocky river, and Huntington reservation should be great. jb
