Saturday, 5pm. Forecast says light SW winds tonight. Current winds are NNW but calm and clear. Just as there was a nice movement of passerines last night, there could be another wave tonight. If winds stay below 10 mph, passerines won’t have to fight too hard to make it over Erie. You may do well by hitting local lakefront traps in the early a.m. They could be a’hopping a they were this morning. Tomorrow’s weather looks downright gorgeous. Not for a lake watch, but for a pleasant time spent in the outdoors. Again, I would expect there to be a nice collection of migrants at lakeshore hotspots and traps, with Yellow-rumps, sparrows, wrens, kinglets, creepers, Hermit Thrushes, and sapsuckers making up the mix.
