Thursday the 7th, through Wednesday the 12th looks to be characterized by light S/SE winds with little to zero precip and fronts. The weekend of the 15th and 16th is showing stronger precipitation but with SW winds. Waterbird migration will be insignificant as far as sheer numbers recorded on single days, as we are lacking NNW wind/cold front. Waterfowl will be scattered in small flocks along the lakefront and passerines will be in fair numbers (some large active flocks at lakefront traps). No mass congregations will appear over the next week. The light S to SE winds will allow warblers, vireos, flycatchers, sparrows, thrushes, kinglets and other passerines to move south in scattered numbers. The key word is this week is dispersed. No large concentrations or staging till the next NNW fronts.
